Your first visit
You do not need to know everything beforehand. Tell Alena which areas you would like treated, mention any skin sensitivity and ask your questions when booking.
How painful is it?
Everyone experiences it differently, depending on the area and skin sensitivity. Sugaring and waxing are not completely painless. Share any concerns with Alena — the pace and breaks can be adjusted for your comfort.
How should I prepare for my first visit?
Confirm the areas and method when booking. Arrive with clean skin, without creams or oils on the treatment area. Do not shave immediately before your visit — the hair needs enough length to be gripped. Mention any irritation, allergies, medication and products containing retinol or retinoids.
Are there any contraindications to waxing or sugaring?
Yes. Treatment is postponed if you have sunburn, wounds, inflammation or severe irritation. Waxing has restrictions with retinoids, including isotretinoin during treatment and for up to 6 months afterwards. Do not assume sugaring is automatically a safe alternative. If you have a skin condition, are receiving treatment or are unsure, consult a dermatologist first; do not stop prescribed treatment on your own.
Do you work with pregnant clients?
If you are pregnant, contact Alena before booking to discuss the area and whether an appointment is suitable. If your pregnancy is high-risk, you have symptoms or medical restrictions, discuss the procedure with your obstetrician first. Appointments are confirmed individually.
What should I do if my hair is longer than 1 cm?
There is no need to shave immediately before your visit. Message Alena to check whether trimming is needed and which length suits the chosen method and area. Avoid trimming too short, as the hair must be long enough to grip.
Do you offer hair removal for teenagers?
For clients under 18, message Alena in advance with their age and the desired treatment area. Suitability and any parent or guardian involvement are discussed before confirming an appointment. The young client’s wishes and comfort come first.
